Summer Day Camps that Focus on Reading
June 20th -June 24th
June 27th - July 1stReading is a Puzzle Party
-Developing higher level thinking skills, such as analysis and synthesis
-Introduction to logic, riddles, abstract thinking and more
-Help with understanding the difference between imagination and inference
-Digital and tactile experiences with a variety of puzzles and books about mysteries
-Arts, crafts and games all connected with reading and grade-level standards
-Reader's theater for fun and practice (This always brings smiles!)
-Personalized, individual and small group instruction
-Respectful staff with high expectations and effective technique
-At least two hours of direct reading, writing and spelling instruction daily
-Introduction to age-and developmentally-appropriate text
-Opportunities to earn incentive rewards, including new books, for effort and progress
-Morning and afternoon snack provided daily AND a camp t-shirt for each two-week session attended
-The chance to get to know some great friends...people and books!
-Detailed schedule and parent information packet available two weeks before camp begins
