2018 Summer Day Camps that Focus on Reading

Reading and Sports History
Highlighted Skill Areas - Motivation and Preparation
-Movement, built right in to the learning experience
-Exposure to significant characters in sports history
-Emphasis on practice and perseverance in all things
-May include basketball, volleyball and sports associated with older cultures
-Arts, crafts and games all connected with reading and grade-level standards
-Reader's theater for fun and practice (Way better than running laps all day!)
-Personalized, individual and small group instruction
-Respectful staff with high expectations and effective technique
-At least two hours of direct reading, writing and spelling instruction daily
-Introduction to age- and developmentally-appropriate text
-Opportunities to earn incentive rewards, including new books, for effort and progress
-Morning and afternoon snack provided daily AND a camp t-shirt for each session attended
-The chance to get to know some great friends...people and books!
